Whitchurch Band is not interested in contesting, we've been there, done that, since at least 1853 at the world famous Belle Vue championships in Manchester and beyond - today we are primarily a concert band who's numbers range from 18 to 25 (at the moment 18),and our age group ranges from, well whoever's young enough to blow a brass instrument to whoever's old enough to sustain at least a quaver! We contested many years ago, but now we are more interested in entertaining those who book us, be it for a birthday party, wedding, or concert, and for us to put on a show that will delight and surprise. But we are always on the lookout for new players. Have a look at our requirements, and do not be afraid to come and sit with us!

Whitchurch Band Needs You!
Whitchurch Band is always (as with any band - the more the merrier) on the lookout for more players of any instrument. We are casting our net far and wide, so if you play, used to play, but are in need of some brushing up, or if you know of someone who plays or used to play, and they may need some rehearsal time, contact Whitchurch Band now. We are a friendly, non-biting bunch. You may learn more from visiting us than from spending ££s on a one-to-one tutor!
Players will be sought after (of any age) who are up to a standard to be able to join the main band and start rehearsals and engagements with immediate effect. Come and sit with us.
Whitchurch Band does not charge subscription fees to its members. Joining us will cost you nothing! You can enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate with biscuits for just 50p. What a bargain! This is totally voluntary though, so what have you got to lose? Give us a call or pop in for a visit, and join our friendly informal unit that is Whitchurch Band.
